The Chiropractic Degree requires 5 years full time University study. The number of universities thoughout the world where one may acquire their chiropractic degree are growing rapidly. In Australia there are 3 universities: Macquarie University in NSW, RMIT University in Melbourne and Murdoch University in WA. In Auckland, New Zealand there is the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
The chiropractic degree requires intensive classroom, laboratory, and clinical study. Some of the subjects covered are anatomy, physiology, chiropractic technique, radiology, biochemistry, toxicology, histology, biomechanics, nutrition, pediatircs, diagnosis and physical examination. A clinical internship consists of hands-on clinical experience and training in a professional clinical setting.
