Your Child’s First Visit To The Chiropractor

Your Child’s First Visit To The Chiropractor

Taking your child to the chiropractor is a very wise decision. They suffer from aches and pains just like you do. Headaches, back pain, asthma, growing pains, to name just a few, are common problems in growing children. A difficult birth could be the cause, especially if forceps or suction was used, or slips and falls as they start to walk, causing the delicate spinal structures to be misaligned and pinch the nerves.

If your child has a pinched nerve (subluxation) your chiropractor will gently release the nerve pressure, allowing the brain and nerve system to function correctly. Remember, the power that made the body heals the body.

Heavy school bags, along with contact sports, can cause a scoliosis (kink) of the spine that you might not notice. A chiropractic check-up is the best way to diagnose subluxations and get your children on the way to a speedy recovery.
